If you're in Mexico City and love books, especially at ridiculously low prices, check out the Big Book Sale at Auditorio. It will be on till the 28th, open from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m., except tomorrow when it's open till 11 p.m. Admission is free, and the prices are really, really good! The best deal I found was a Pequeo Larrouse dictionary from 2007, which usually sells for over $400, for $95! For those of you with little ones, there are tons of children's books for sale. |

Oooh, I'm envious, that is a good price for a Larousse. Did you happen to notice if they had any ESL textbooks? I didn't know about the sale, thanks for the heads up, will have to swing by. |

I wasn't looking for ESL texts, but there may be some for sale. Keep in mind that mostly Mexican publishers are represented, or foreign publishers with branches in Mexico. The books on offer are those they couldn't sell and that will probably be shredded or otherwise thrown away if no one buys them since it would cost more than it is worth to pay to store them. I dont know if ESL texts fall into that category. |
