I would like info on this school. The normal stuff: is it reputable or rip-off, do they do what they promise, etc. I am older, degreed, single and seeking to make a life-change. My goal is to end up in Taiwan, but I will do what it takes to get there. |

My advice to you is to get an online TEFL certificate and then apply for jobs at universities in China. After a year here, go to Taiwan.

Jeremiah,
Why Taiwan? I would think a uni in China would be better for many folks. |

Because Taiwan is where I want to start or end-up. I had friends there that I would like to look up - two teachers and a college swim coach. |

I was in Taiwan. I didn't care much for the place but some folks like it. |

Yes, and I am one. Been twice for a total of only 4 weeks. It makes a difference with friends like Chang, Mary, and Scott. |

I was also looking at Will-Excel, but it seemed a bit too expensive to do.
In the end, I made it to China though. I don't have a degree or TESOL. I'm in Daqing, which is about a bit over 100km from Harbin. I got a job working for Joy, which is Taiwan based language school. It might help if you go to Taiwan later and tell them that you've worked for one of their schools
It's not a bad idea if you want to work in North-East China without any qualifications. |
