My niece was accepted to teach in Beijing through Expertise Intl. Can anyone share experience with this organization, or on the living/working conditions? Is housing decent? Monthly pay is small--do they pay on time? Any visa or other issues with this sponsor? I taught ESL in Japan a long time ago and it was a great experience, but not all ESL teaching experiences are great, I know. THanks for advising. |

Ditto what Scot said in answer to this same question on the General Discussion Forum. If your niece is enough of a grown-up to be heading to Beijing on her own, perhaps she could do her own research as well? |

Dear Chancellor: Your reply to my query about teaching in China via Expertise Int'l was very unhelpful... of COURSE my niece is doing her own research! What a silly thing to question! But I'm also doing it since I've spent time in Beijing and am not starry eyed (as she is) over the prospect of living abroad. Never hurts to put two great minds together when making year-long commitments.
If you have any info. you'd like to share, let me know.
Cheers! |

LIS, I hope you won't hold that comment against Chancellor, especially since he didn't make it. |

I had a friend who spent around a year in Bj teaching kindergarten...I think it was with Expertise Education, probably the same people? He didnt report any problems, but things can and do change quickly in China. |
