A friend of mine currently living in Abu Dhabi recommended I bring two bottles of tequila. While I like a nice, chilled tequila (the beautiful people of Mexico keep it in the freezer), I definitely don't want a hassle in customs or to make a bad first impression with my employer.
Is she just trying to get me to smuggle some in for her?
I guess my first question should have been is it even legal to bring in liquor. |

You can bring in (IIRC) 2 bottles of liquor duty free.
But why would you want to? You can easily get liquor in almost every emirate (and those which are "dry" you can purchase from another emirate and bring it home).
She may want a specific brand of tequila and may not be able to find it here. But I can get tequila here in RAK so I wouldn't imagine it would be too hard to get in AD or Dubai. |

You can also buy booze when you get off the plane in Dubai (and it is well posted about how much you can bring in). |
