I've been accepted to start a TESOL course in a couple of months. I would like to start applying for jobs; saying that I have been accepted for a TESOL course starting on XX/XX/2010, and fininishing on XX/XX/2010. Is this OK to do, or do I really have to wait until I've completed the course?
Thank you |

hmm.... I think first impressions are super important, so I would personally rather wait until I had finished it. U might learn some things in your TESOL course that will help you improve your resume, so waiting would make a better first impression, imho. Also, they will probably want to have a phone interview too, so waiting until after u've done your TESOL might help with that too.
BUT... If u already know which schools u want to apply to and are worried of missing opportunities by waiting, maybe u should go ahead...
Also, u haven't given a lot of info on the situation, so that's just my overall opinion of first impressions with schools...

IF you have a degree then it is a "nice to have" but not an essential requirement for job applications or teaching abroad.
If you do not have a degree and you are hoping to find something then you should probably wait until you have actually completed your TESOL course.
