Hello everyone,

I have read through most of these threads and have gotten a lot of great information about Colombia, so thanks to everyone for that. I am hoping that someone can provide me with some information about jobs in either Cartagena or Santa Marta. I would like to either teach English Literature at an international school or ESL at a university. I have about seven years of teaching experience (4 in America, 1 in South Korea, and 2 in Istanbul) and I have two master's degrees (Journalism and English Lit), so I'm hoping to land a decent job at this point. From what I've been reading, it sounds like it would be best to simply target some possible schools and send them my materials. I'm having a tough time finding a list of schools in these two cities, so if anyone has some suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

Difficult to find jobs in either!! Check out Barranquilla (half way between) where there are three excellent International Schools that pay VERY well: Carl C. Parrish, British School of Barranquilla and Marymount. Also, with your qualifications, try Universidad del Norte (Uninorte).
Barranquilla is a great place to live and central for many other places.
Also (I forget its name) but there is a fantastic International School nearby in La Guajira - check it on Google.
Enjoy and good luck.
