I have a friend working there now and she likes it. She says that they treat her fairly, so she's happy. Having said that, she is an ET survivor (will I get sanctioned for that?), so pretty much anything would be an improvement. I heard that the American Cultural Assoc. is moving into bigger and better digs right beside ET. That should be fun - it almost makes me want to go back to Izmit to watch the fireworks.

I have worked for them.. They pay on time, help with housing, but the pay is low and the hours long...It's a good starter job for when you first get into the country..They also have a web site that they blacklist teachers on.. So, if you have any problems with them(like leaving for a better job) you will not be able to work at any of their other branches...

Is this website public? I'm most interested.

I also want to tell you that though they pay on time (in Izmir), the competitiveness and cattiness of the Turkish teachers are a big turn off. It's good, as stated, for a starter job but definitely not for the long run. Some teachers, I heard, are working 7 days a week and these are foreigners.
