Does wonders, but not for spelling or grammar. Grammar theories, yes! But not actually forming sentences after the first bottle... |

Dear Phil_K,
"I support the right for everyone to have his opinion...as long as it's the same as my opinion."
Ah, we agree. I never argue. I simply explain why I'm right.
Regards,
John |

| In the Workers' Paradise everyone is provided with an opinion! A uniform one, hic! Our superior system allows for this despite not having Fox TV or CNN to rely on. Hic! |

I didn't realize Dave's has extended its sphere to discussing about bedroom extracurricular activities.

Well, Fox news is not exactly a preferred source of, dare I call it 'news'...
So perhaps you're not missing so much.

Ah, there seem to be a lot trying to get into that club.
Speaking of the lobster pot again, I think for non-British English language users perhaps lobster trap might have been a better choice. For the only lobster 'pot' I have used, lobsters came out as easily as they went in. And they then very easily went into my stomach..., must have been all that melted butter. |

| Which thread is this? Lobster traps, pots and kettles. There, you see. You are now more educated than you were before. Expanded vocabulary to match waistline. I hope you are a more rounded person now, for all that. But perhaps some therapy is needed? |

Sorry Sasha, got it thrown in the wrong one.
No, just pointed out what johnslat seemed to miss, that sometimes a pot and a trap are different (though I suppose for the lobster the result is the same more or less, just part of the same process).
As to the weight, haven't been enjoying lobster much of late, more sashimi and sushi, which doesn't add to the waistline much. |

You poor fella. Hope you get some decent sustenance soon. Might improve your concentration. Lobster pots and traps different? I think most other posters understood what was what. One kind soul even spelt it out for those who may have an impoverished vocabulary.
Now where were we with gerunds and infinitives? |
