Is there any demand out there for Business English teachers in Asia right now? I have a BBA from an accredited university. My major is in management and my minor is in marketing. All of my past experience is within the manufacturing industry with a bit of sales mixed in.

I can get my state certification for teaching business relatively easily and I am thinking about getting my TEFL this winter but I'd rather not vest a lot of time and resources into it if there is little chance of finding employment. There doesn't seem to be a lot of job ads for the Business English field online right now.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any insight.

Can you narrow down your question to a country? Business English is pretty important everywhere.

In some places, just a degree is not enough. You may need work experience in a business field so that employers can trust you to know the lingo, jargon, and terminology from a firsthand perspective. Experience gives them confidence that you have actually used the language in a work environment, not just learned it from a textbook.

There's a topic about this going on right now on the China forum. In China, ALMOST all of the "Business English" classes will be basic oral English. They give it the title of "Business", but.....

I'm open to China, Vietnam, Thailand and the country that shall not be spoken of here.

Thanks for the tip. If I advance to the point of an interview in China or elsewhere I'll make sure to inquire about the course content. I know most classes are looking for conversational English teachers but I'd feel more comfortable teaching students a subject I actually feel both competent and interested in.
