I'm heading to Hanoi to teach start early 2011.
I apologise if this question has already been asked but how long does it usually take for the visa paperwork to be processed please?
The school I have been accepted to say they will handle everything for me (I have already submitted my CELTA and degree transcripts to them plus passport copy). They reckon it takes about a month for everything to be processed. |

| Most people come on a tourist visa initially, and the school will help you get a Work Permit, and change your visa type. |

The tourist visa is only good for 30 days.
Is a visa run required to change the visa type and get the work permit, or is this done in 'Nam on the tourist visa? |

Tourist visas are usually renewed in Vietnam by travel agents or hotels.
The situation changes from time to time, but where theres a will or a dollar, it can be done. |
