All leftist tosh. If the US and UK didn't supply the arms, the Russians, Chinese and North Koreans.............. etc would. Reality check time to all the idealists on the board.

Boeing, Northrup, BAe et al all compete in a global market and prop the EFL market up with well paid jobs....don't knock 'em.

It's ironic that countries ruled by Islam (peace) need so many bloody guns to fight each other.

North Korea (etc) is a major international arms supplier?

Seems like it really is 'reality check time'.

Well, the irony and the mother of all realities is that Uncle Sam is the one who is supplying those Islamic countries with arms and helping the merchants of death to suck blood from the people of the 3rd world!

Here is the latest casualties of Uncle Sam in Iraq:

American Deaths
Since war began (3/19/03): 4418
Since "Mission Not Accomplished" (5/1/03) 4279
Since Handover (6/29/04): 3559
Since Obama Inauguration (1/20/09): 190
Since Operation New Dawn 2

American Wounded: 31929

Hey sharter, I suggest you put a casualty counter in your heart!

Also, I suggest you watch the new film title "The Lord of War":
Actor: Viktor Bout
Director: Uncle Sam
Music: Simpson
Dcor: Sheikh Nano

Well, as everything is relative, North Korea is probably way up there when it comes the weapons sales in relation to G.D.P.

Whilst not officially anywhere near the top (as a World pariah...who can tell?), can you imagine what kind of basket case their economy would be without their export market?

The same reason the countries supposedly ruled by Christianity (recall the "prince of peace" title) sell and use so many bloody guns to attack each other and others.

Kinda reminds me of the old Strategic Air Command (SAC) motto: "Peace is our Profession".

The icon?...a mailed hand gripping a bolt of lightning!

Of course, VS, you'd NEVER have an idea what a B-52 sounds or looks like! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Well, Simpson, you reminded me of the symphony of those B-52 and their 'smart' bombs' in TORA BORA. The B-52 failed their mission in TORA BORA, and the 'smart' bombs missed their target by 10 kM South-East of the location of Bin Laden and instead killed American servicemen!!

'Smart' bombs! What a joke for Uncle Sam! Laughing

Mission accomplished! Laughing

That took me back to the 1st Gulf War... low-flying B-52s were a weekly sight from our balcony in Jeddah. I had just turned a teenager a few months prior Cool.
