I'm wondering if a distance bachelors degree would get me turned down for a job even if I have a Masters Tesol that will be obtained on campus. The bachelors is from a good regionally accredited school in the united states. I'm afraid that even with a campus based masters the online bachelors could deny me work in the ME. Do they even check your bachelors if you have a masters? To make a long story short 5 minutes of research will show that my bachelors will be obtained online so I'm thinking of transferring schools.

That is almost impossible to answer as I have never heard of anyone else who had one to test it. Laughing My guess would be that if you have a traditional on campus MA, it will trump the BA. You could add a CELTA to the mix. ME employers love CELTAs too.

I am planning on getting a CELTA and teaching in Asia or Turkey. Asian countries recognize the degree. I could teach a couple years save money and get a second distance bachelors degree from a different university where the degree would look campus based. Then take the two years experience and money and get a masters. Then mark off the 2 years experience on my CV when applying in the ME making my bachelors degree look like it was obtained on campus. I would only technically lose 1 years experience since experience before my masters would be cut in half, but I would have the advantage of a "campus based" bachelors. Twisted Evil
