| I want to buy a motorcycle for 1000 to 3000 SAR. Can anyone recommend a place where I can go to buy one in Dammam? Thanks in advance. |

Hi ganesh77:
Are you freakin crazy?
No. Do not ride a motorcycle. You will be assumed to be the hired help and possibly side swiped! I've seen motorcycles get hit in Saudi. There were two riders on it and they were rolling on the asphalt for about 30 meters after the hit occurred. Traffic just drove around them and continued like nothing happened.

Thanks for your concern.
I live in Jubail Industrial City and will only use the bike on mostly unpopulated roads. |

| There used to be a Honda shop in Khobar on the road to Dhahran. I'd like to know if it's still there. |

I've tried google search using many combinations of key words.. but still have no contact number or address of where to go in Dammam..
A colleague said there are shops that sell Chinese-made bikes for just 1000 or 2000 SAR there.. |

| Yeah, Honda shops in the Middle East sell small Hondas that are made in China and/or India. They are licensed to use the Honda name, but the design is this weird hybrid, most of which is the Honda design from 40 years ago, but with various cost-cutting bits spliced in. |

| There is a shop in downtown Khobar that sells Indian bikes. Quality is not as good as the pukkah Japanese (or BRITISH !) models. I am old enough to remember when the UK had an indistry producing motorbikes ! |

Hi Scot 47
Do you have a business name or street name of the shop?
Meanwhile, I'm trying to get some Saudis in admin to find a shop.
With luck on my side, I'll have a bike by the weekend!! |

1.Find someone who speaks Urdu and Arabic
2.Go downtown
3.Ask
It might be a good idea to update your Last Will and Testament before venturing out on the road on a motorbike. |

I had toyed with the idea of PMing the OP and getting his particulars so I could take out life insurance on him.
