Another question for those in the know....
I have been teaching in Japan for seven years and am looking at heading to Vietnam in the next year.
I would much rather prefer to teach adults than kids but I'm getting the impression from this board that kid classes pretty much dominate the business in HCMC/Hanoi. Is that the case?
Are there any schools which specialize in adult education such as business courses/technical schools?
Thanks |

'If you prefer to teach adults, most schools have classes from 6 - 9 p.m. and you can work for 15 hours a week and live quite well there.'
Oops. Sorry Rhonda. I just discovered this on an earlier thread dated March 13.
Anymore info from folks doing this would be helpful. |

There are always jobs going for adults in HCMC...
ILA vietnam has a large public and corporate department...
Go to the website and check it out...

What about teaching adults in Hanoi?
I've just got my CELTA certificate and am thinking of going to Hanoi in June.
Bearing in mind the school holidays, will there be much work available at this time of year? |

As far as I know the demand in Hanoi is a great as the demand was in Ho Chi Minh City.
Just front up with your Resume and you should be working within a week or so of your arrival.
They do not hire over the Internet.
The weather is more pleasant in Hanoi also. |
