I have the CELTA (but no other teaching experiene), and am looking for work teaching in business. I have a business/finance background so hoping this might work in my favour....any advice on how to find such work?? i know some of the chain schools do this but there seems to be a lot of negative postings about some of these.
any advice appreciated, thanks.

Are you thinking to work independently teaching at companies? If so, then network, network, network.
If you're looking to teach at companies through a language school with a business focus and that ISN'T a large chain, you'll have to do some looking around, maybe in El Universal or Segundamano (paper or online version). There are many small outfits around that don't advertise on tv and don't have easy-to-spot storefronts. They tend to pay better than the chains - expect 120 to 170 per hour. |
