i've been working at a school for a few months and it's been really awful. the issue is not wether or not to leave, there is no doubt that we have to get out.

we have a residence permit and a work visa sponsored by the school, we want to go to a different province and are wondering how difficult it will be to find a new job after quitting our last one and if there is oging to be a lot of trouble with the visas.

does anybody know anything about this?

Best chance you have is to find the new employer and ask them to help...your obligation doesn't rest on the contract but rather on the RP... and to a lessor extent the FEC. You could turn you passports over to the school and with you along they could have them canceled (likely with a notice to leave china within a short time) but it would be better to retain the FECs and present them to the new employer. Either way ... It aint gone to be a picnic...

Why do you have to leave?

Have your employers gone against the contract which you signed?

i haven't signed a contract

it's a really long, bizarre, nightmarish story that comes down to personal safety.

i just need to know if they're going to make it impossible to find work in another province.

Do you have a position lined up in the new province? If so, tell them what's going on and see if it will affect getting the new documents.

No apologies necessary; you didn't ask for anyone's opinion about the REASONS you're leaving. If your situation is unbearable TO YOU, that's all that matters. But we do love gossip.

I think most people would agree that there is NO reason to trust anyone based on their word on this forum. So, when someone claims the school threatened them, stole their money, cheated them, violated some "promise" not in the contract, or "personal safety" there is little reason to take it at face value.

Thus, if you want pointed opinions, more facts are necessary.

right but i was only asking about what would happen with the visa, chiefly if they could cancel it. regardless, the situation is being resolved peacefully. i probably could have said they were holding me hostage in a room with no electricity and people would still find a way to rip into it and make it seem like i was spinning the truth. i don't really understand why people feel the need to comment on me personally when i'm clearly in a position where i'm uncomfortable and have done nothing to come across as a shady individual.
