So I've been invited for an interview in Houston to work for a recruiter (Al-Qattani sp.) in Saudi Arabia. I'm doing pretty well where I am and I'm ambiguous about going there. Generally speaking, how is it to work for Aramco? (I realize that I wouldn't be working for Aramco directly) How much salary could I expect a month? Money is the only reason I'd consider going. Thanks in advance.

Allow me to quote that astute and witty observer, Scot47, who in a previous thread on this subject said "I would sooner fall into the hands of a gang of Moorish slave traders than be at the mercy of any of the contractors for ARAMCO. They maximise their profit by minimising your income and their expenditure.

The same applies to any and all contractors in this game."

Heard of a new outfit recently hiring for Saudi: they're called Desperate Teachers. Wonder if they're good? Are they reputable?

This was the previous HAK discussion.

Nb. If your gay, then you will enjoy Saudi. I'm not, but have worked with plenty (at Aramco I'd say it was 50:50 gay: straight in the staff room) and they were very happy Wink One guy, a Texan, even got fired for shafting too many students.

Yes, yes you are.
Ambivalent is the word you want to use.
