My last school took in 1,200,000 RMB per year in extra tuition for my classes.
My current school is collecting 1,620,000 RMB in extra tuition this year.
The school probably spends about 200,000 RMB a year for my salary and all other expenses.
I am working at a high school, so I do not know the situation in language centers or universities, but I am sure that those schools are making a profit also. |
as others have already mentioned, salaries are not dictated by company revenue. if that were the case, tellers at my bank back home would be pulling in about $200,000 per year with annual pay increases of 10%. but that isn't happening.
but if you do believe your salary is directly tied to company revenue, would you be willing to take a 30% pay cut when your boss comes to you next month and says profits are down by the same amount?

because that is what the market here pays for that job and that "skill" set. |
