I'm working at a for-profit adult vocational school and the turn over rate is tremendous. I've been here 5 months and I'm now the senior teacher. I don't have any conflict with the administration but it does seem that peoples numbers come up quite often.
Most of the people either quit or get fired for disagreeing with the regime in charge of our school. It's an incredibly cut-throat school with sights only on money and not quality of education.
My question: How long at a school looks good on a resume? I certainly don't want to work at this school forever, but would like to tough it out to get a good mark on my resume. Ideally, I'd stay here for at least a year but it seems that maybe it's better to jump ship before I get thrown off? We aren't on any contracts, so I'm not locked into anything.
Also, I'm a young teacher with only 1 year prior experience teaching ESL overseas. |

I never put anything on my CV that is less than a year. |

I would agree. At least a year and mention that you were a full-time instructor. |
