Have things changed at all in regards for visas for men to come as dependents to KSA? Benefits there seem so much better than Korea.

Hello: naturegirl321

I do not believe the way things work in KSA have changed much. I know people who came with their family, and others who are still waiting for their loved ones. Moreover, if you re-read any post that has family and visa within its messages, most people have different stories, i.e., some came along with their family, while I think I read on one post that a guy waited an entire year for his wiife Crying or Very sad ..

So, I don't think anyone can give you a yes or no answer, because all contracts differ, you just have to make sure with whoever you apply with, that they help you and your family come over together, and also that they will help you get your iqama and your family's iqamas.

Sincerely.

There's no particular problem with bringing a male as a dependent: I know lots of women who sponsor their husbands. However, as umkhadija points out, so much depends on your employers. There are employers who will not sponsor dependents at all, and make this clear from the start. Others say they will allow your family to join you soon, but take forever to get the visa. Others are quite good about bringing out families straight away.

As unkhadija says, there's no one size fits all answer here. If you can tell us which employers you're interested in applying to, we could perhaps give more info about the likliehood of them sponsoring your husband.

The ability to sponsor a spouse also depends on the size of yer paypacket. This explains why there are so many South Asians and Pilpinos sans official lovers...
