There you go again again, HiddenAgenda, telling people to get outta China. You just can't control that urge, can you?

I'd like to know why HT is always so dang snooty/snotty. Never an encouraging word. What's up with that? Now I'll probably get fired at because I asked.

If you can't take people like that, maybe you should leave China? Tee hee ...

Don't worry. He's just a grumpy old man who wishes he wasn't stuck in China. Let it roll.

cheap beer and even cheaper available romantic interludes.

The "Do you have a house so I can do nothing all day?" kills the romance for me. Yea, I came all the way to China and I have a house for you to live in Razz

At least the cheap beer can "live" in the fridge and then the trash bins when I am done with them.

I also have been here for almost 3 years now, but I worked on mainland before, in 90s. It's so different now. I loved it before. I loved the respect the students and local teachers gave me, which i cannot see today. Forget this "gravy train" that may take you to those fine cheap restaurants, bars that aren't as cheap any more, and that may offer some amazing fruits of the local culture. Locals are so proud that they think they have achieved this "success" by themselves.
