hm... I wonder if they will give er hu lessons to the right candidate.

And little did we know that the "massage therapist" will be the principal.

If i had too much time on my hands i would create a phony CV and send them a full body picture of Divine (Pink Flamingos, Hairspray).

I was thinking they do not want very overweight folk too, I can understand that.
I once had a housemate in Hawaii for a short time that was a true slob, he was quite overweight & cared as much about his surroundings as he did himself.
After that, when we took applicants for new housemates, big people were off the list.

I can understand them asking, they might have hired Him last year & dont want another.
`sounds bad but.
& I know that not All big people are untidy & smell bad.

Or, it could be the FAO is looking for a western hubby
& wanted to check his shoe & hand size along with his nose. Wink

`might actually be a FAO that knows what makes a good teacher.

Some of the job offers on that board are confusing to say the least.
There's this one...

http://host159.ipowerweb.com/~eslteach/cgi-bin/China/index.pl?read=1142

...which supposedly pays US$2500 a month yet overtime is 15 yuan an hour Confused

Then there's the one which says 'Come to Luoyang. It's close to Beijing.'
Do they think we can't get hold of a map of China in the west???

My on-campus apartment is on the 7th floor. The classrooms I teach in range from the 2nd to 6th floors. There are no lifts here!

I found out about this when I arrived at the school.

For me, the stairs have been a kind of mandatory fitness program which I would have otherwise been too lazy to undertake.

So far I've lost 3 kilograms, and I'm feeling better for it.

I have seen one or two job ads "warning" prospective applicants that they need to be fit & healthy in order to climb many stairs.

I can imagine that some schools have experienced problems with overweight people being unwilling or unable to repeatedly climb stairs.

Cheers

Teacher Lindsay: I have the same situation! I reside on the sixth floor and climbing those #*&@! stairs really are my bane of existence here. I don't seem to lose much weight in the stomach section but my legs and butt are as tight as a . . . tight end? (American football position). My knees sure are suffering though!
