|
|
Awhile back I posted a couple of comments defending ICEEL and suggested that they were an above average recruiter/employer. Since that time a number of management decisions have been made, to include hiring a Bell/KSU transplant, and I am now forced to admit that ICEEL is no longer distinguishable from Bell. Much, if not all, of the bs well documented on this site regarding the Bell/Obeikan/KSU project has, over the past several months, manifested itself in the ICEEL structure as well.
Had I known that the current state of ICEEL was what I was signing on for, I would not have come. And things are rapidly worsening. |

|
|
They're making more up as they go and not honoring contracts.
****This year's housing is a least $2,000 less than last year's housing allowance....current contracts are not being honored...and married couples are now being given one allowance instead of two...something a used car dealer would pull****
Per Mr. Former Bell/Obeikan Teacher:
Housing Allowance information:
The housing allowance payments are currently being processed and should be issued some time next week. The default procedure with the HA is that everyone will get a monthly allowance paid with their paychecks. For example, if your Salary is $3,000 your HA is $9,000 = 33,750SAR. The monthly allowance will be 2812.5SAR. In the case you are wishing to get an unfurnished apartment and you are required to pay for 6 months rent in advance, then give Mr. _______ the name and number of the real estate agent that is renting out the apartment, and we will pay for the rent directly. After you pass your 90 day probation period with us then you will get the rest of your HA paid directly to you. I hope this clarifies the HA procedures. Mr. ________'s email is __________. If you want us to pay for your 6 months rent then please email him about it, and CC me. You will be issued HA that covers you from the 1st of November and on. Your HA will be 12 months HA and minus what was spent on your provided housing, and minus the time that you were not in the kingdom awaiting your visa.
HA is currently only for male teachers, as Housing will be provided for female teachers.
Kind Regards,
--

The housing allowance rip off has got me po'd, but we've got a 12 day Haj break coming up and many of us can't leave the country, because the company did not get the correct visas.
They talk about all the things we can do in the kingdom, but after a few weeks every shopping mall starts to look alike. |

A new cap of $300 has been placed on visa expense reimbursements. Where can you get a chest x-ray, blood work, and a physical certification in the Western world for that price? |

ICEEL has taken on people who have lied on their CVs/Resumes and have probably prevented genuine teachers from working. Now the same teachers are crying about the way they are being treated... POETIC JUSTICE at work. |

Nah. The ones who aren't qualified love it here. Generally, dedicated teachers would not associate themselves with the likes of ICEEL. And if they did they'd definitely be vocal because they'd know the difference between proper administration and what's on offer here and now.
It appears you'd fit in nicely with the new management. I suggest contacting them directly if interested. |
