I'm interested to know which of the Zayed sites is the best to work at. Does ZU provide accommodation or do newbies have to find their own?
Also does ZU provide school fees for children (I have one school-aged son).
What other benefits are provided? Is the gratuity one month or two weeks?
Many thanks in advance.

Both are good. Next August, the new campus WAY outside of Abu Dhabi will begin operations. Read this board and think: "ZU is the antonym of HCT". Accom is provided...

Yes, and it is adequate...for one...

The usual...subsidized health care, yearly round trip tickets for the family, dignity that HCT doesn't provide...
Gratuity is one month for every year of service...at HCT it's one month for every year of servitude...

And jobs with them are HIGHLY competitive. They are one of the top 2 employers in the UAE now. (the other being AUS) The space down to number 3 is long and perilous...

Actually, NCTBA, you've got it slightly wrong. It's not servitude that HCT desire from their labouring classroom servants, but servility. Even serfdom!
It was about this time last year that the ADMC director e-mailed his teaching task force with his considered opinion that cardigans and such attire of a woolly nature were TOO UNPROFESSIONAL for HCT! Along with footwear that wasn't dark, if I remember correctly...

ZU sounds cool. I've not sold my soul to the devil, but I've come close...working for HCT. |
