I once read on here that only Russians, inexplicably, could be Cambridge examiners (for PET, CPE, etc). Is this still the case?
If not, how would one go about becoming such an examiner here in Russia? Where could I apply?
Thanks. |

There are few Cambridge Centers in Moscow. BKC is one of the biggest both in Moscow and in Russia; and it's accredited to grade all Cambridge exams.
Not only Russians can become Cambridge examiners. You can send your CV to [email protected] and if you are up to quality you'll be interviewed by the trainer.
The requirements to native speakers of English are as follows:
Minimum of 3 years' recent, fulltime EFL teaching experience (teaching experience in the relevant field is required for YLE) and Successful applicants should meet the Minimum Professional Requirements as outlined below:
o Minimum of 3 years of recent (within 5 years) fulltime EFL teaching experience (examiners for YLE must have experience of teaching children; for BEC, experience in teaching Business English);
o CPE/ILEC/ICFE only: previous examining experience for Cambridge ESOL FCE & CAE examinations;
o Education to first degree level or equivalent;
o A recognized English language teaching qualification. |
