I'm halfway through my second and likely final year teaching English in Zhengzhou, China, and am considering other options for my next move.
There's obviously a lot that's appealing about Singapore, but I'm almost certain from what I gather that they're just too strict and prude for me to feel comfortable living there.
Basically, if I'm even just having that thought/concern then is it safe to say that yes, it likely would be? If you think maybe not I'd certainly consider it, but otherwise I'll just put it out of my mind and be done with it. |

Have you been here before? Prostitution is legalised here - so whilst they are strict about some things, less so about others.
I have lived in a few places in China (Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hubei) as well as Singapore. China can be more fun in an anarchic sense, and the seasons are pleasant. However, if you fancy a change and want the comforts of home in an Asian environment, then Singapore is for you. |

What exactly might you want to do in Singapore that would offend the "strict and prude" sensibilities there? Many people have the same impression of the place -- but it is usually inaccurate. |
