I don't know what time they begin waiting. There are roped lines outside (like at Disneyland) to accommodate the folks waiting. Yes, Monday morning would probably be the worst. I went in on a Monday afternoon and did not encounter lines outside. The wait inside once I'd taken a number was just over an hour. When I went back to pay and pick up the passport/visa the wait was only a matter of minutes. However, since you plan to submit your application on Monday morning I'm sure the pickup time on Tuesday morning will be longer. I went back to get mine on Wed. morning. Be sure to fill out the application form before you go in because the guard tells people not to take a number until the form is completed.

Thanks again for the input. I figure I will arrive at 7 or so and hit the line to assure a prime spot as I am on a time deadline to return. I have a 5:30 pm flight out of Shenzhen airport (tuesday) and need to make it.
And I have never done this before... In the past I gave 'em my passport and a few days later it was returned with a working visa.
So much more complicated now... |
