Hi!
I'm thinking about taking a TEFL/CELTA class in Istanbul and spending some time in Turkey to teach English. However, I plan to go to grad school in a year and a half, so I want to know what the typical length of contracts in Turkey are. And do most teachers finish those contracts?
Thanks! |

Typical contract length in Turkey is 1 yr, sometimes 2.
Similar to everywhere else in the ESL world!
Do teachers fulfill these contracts? The longer the contract the less likely this will be the case. I would say most teachers fulfill the 1 yr contract, assuming the employer isn't scum. 2 yr contracts are probably broken just as regularly as they are in other countries. |
