Hello -
Does anyone have experience teaching at the Higher College Of Technology? What's it like? Salary? Work conditions? Management?
I have an interview with them in a few days and I'm contemplating.

Did you try a search? There has been discussion. I would search by the name and by recruiter.
Be sure to use "search for all terms"
The answers will vary by location. (except for salary & benefits)

I assume that you are referring to the Higher College of Technology in Muscat,
kylemcgee... as per http://www.hct.edu.om/college_history.asp# -
as distinct from the 6 regional Colleges of Technology - yes?

Which recruiter? What are your qualifications? will make a difference too which college you are interviewing with there are 7.

Yes.. That's the one.. I tried searching in the forum, but I can't search with quotes it seems.. Any info would be great..

The recruiter is Al Nawa Management & HRD Consultants. I have a Masters in ELT from a British University and 9 years of teaching experience. Some college, but most in other places.
I am not sure which specific college, but I would assume the English program along with the 111 other lecturers. 
Any thoughts?

The Higher College of Technology in Muscat is one of the seven colleges of technology in Oman. It is called a "Higher College" of technology because they offer bachelor degrees. At the present time, the other six colleges of technology offer programs only up to the higher diploma level.
No major problems concerning Al Nawa. |
