A few weeks ago (if not about 2 months) Aramco held interviews from what appeared to have been direct hire jobs as English language instructors.
Has anyone had any feedback from them to date? I believe candidates were told they would hear from them within three weeks.... probably a bit optimistic or perhaps a 'Saudi' three weeks. |

Yes, I had an interview in November and received my "feedback" a week after Eid. If you want more information, you can PM me. |

I don't know anyone who isn't working this week. Most people only get a day and a half at Christmas and a day and a half at New Years. Whenever I wanted to take time off to travel at this time of year, I had to use my one week of annual vacation.
Only the public schools and universities are closed over the whole time period, and normally office staff is working.

Where I am Christmas Day and New Tears Day are working days - maybe not for felines though. I never yet saw one of them doing any work.
We all know about sheepdogs. Did anyone ever hear of a sheepcat ! |

Dear scot47,
Love the typo (or was it one?)
"New Tears Day"
Oh, by the way:

Yes, but Grendal was not referring to people in Saudi. He was talking about the ARAMCO people who are interviewing in the US and the UK and are based in mostly the US.

The people who conducted the interviews returned to Saudi at the end of November, from what I understand. |

From those who attended the interviews, can you say whether or not Aramco was the one conducting them, or were they held by contractors? |

I do know of one individual was was interviewed by ARAMCO and his offer is from ARAMCO. No recruiter involved.
But, this seems to be rather uncommon.

Does seem uncommon these days....but if you check Aramco's website, they have quite a few jobs posted there for teachers. Maybe they've started hiring direct again. |

I'm wondering if they have more than one program and they are doing direct hire for some special program(s) and are still using recruiters for their general workers' classes. ?? I am just speculating until we get a poster who has made it to the... inside.

I've been told that my prospective contractor is HAK, but that I will be interviewed directly by Aramco, and that they will set my salary at interview. The recruiter is CCL, and they just arrange the interviews.
So even though Aramco are doing the interviews, it's not exactly 'direct hire', at least not in my case. |

Just curious; did anyone get a direct hire offer out of this? |
