Has anyone been in contact with Caneducom.com and had an interview with her team to go and teach in UAE this August? If so, what are your thoughts?

(MOD edit for names)

Zoot,
Caneducom is a recruitment firm that is hiring teachers for UAE. (MOD edit) is the VP that I have been communicating with. I am currently awaiting a final in person interview with a group of interviewers out of town and to sign a contract.

I'd be wary of this outfit based solely on that email address. Reputable Canadian organizations/businesses have a .ca; .com; \ .gov or .org as the suffix - and so far as I know, CFL stands for Canadian Football League (although there are those who would argue it's not really football Wink )

Their website comes up with a google and here is their contact page:

http://caneducom.com/contact.shtml

It looks legit on the surface anyway... I think that I would only apply through this site... and don't send any money!! Laughing

LOL. I once sat next to Derek England (from the Toronto Argos) on a flight out of New Haven. He told me that he was disappointed that no one knew what the Grey Cup was in the States...

Did you ever hear back from them, and follow up with an out-of-town interview? Any word on whether they are legit. or just another scam?

Hey cool teacher55,

I have been working with Caneducom for a couple of weeks now, I have had the phone interview with a representative in Venus, Florida and he was very nice. I have a face to face interview scheduled in Toronto in a couple of weeks.

I too am looking for anyone who has experience with this company, it looks like you may have been in the last group to go over there, can you tell me anything about this place, they seem legit, but I am very cautious.

Also, I have been working with Teachaway.com and have an interview with them as well in Toronto, there is a lot more information on the web about this group, so if you can enlighten me, that would be fantastic.

Thanks!

This post is very confusing. Are you working for/with both of them already, or do you mean that you are just in the interviewing process and have never "worked with" any of them in the past.

Sorry, by working with, I meant "dealing with", still waiting to have the interview and cannot find much about this company anywhere, and if there is a post on here, people seem to go off on a tangent about clothing or something, I just want to know if they are legit, as it seems to good to be true!
