|
|
Hello all! I received an offer for a college in Chengde and was wondering if I could get some opinions on it.
The salary : RMB5000yuan per month
Hours: not more than 16 teaching periods each week. The work day is from Monday to Friday. All the classes are in the morning and afternoon.
Airfare reimbursed: international roundtrip for yearlong contract
Traveling allowance:2000rmb
Apartment Provided w/ utilities and internet covered
Visa assistance
Has anyone been to Chengde and taught there? If so, was it an enjoyable experience?
I appreciate any and all responses Thanks! |

| 5000 a month is basically a volunteer position. If you don't really need to get paid for your time, this might be ok. Then again, there are probably nicer places to do volunteer work than Chengde. |

Agreed
Volunteer
Big vocabulary for you folks...
Clearly you don't know that the offer noted here is the absolute average, normal, mean, common, etc. of university job offers.
It's nice for you to sit behind the anonymity of your computer and say how "horrible" it is when we all know you are making the same thing and want to look high-and-mighty with no proof of your actual earnings.
The SIMPLE FACT is this is the most common earning package there is for a university based job. Let alone the nearly 3-4 months off per year and more. |

What about the city itself? Has anyone been to / lived in Chengde? Again thanks for the replies; I really appreciate it! |
