| Shantou University has a fairly attractive-looking offer up on TESOL's job board. I have searched through the forums here and found that Shantou seems to be a nice, clean city, but I can't find much about this university. Does anybody have any information on the working conditions, management, etc? |

| My friend worked there a few years ago. He had no complaints about it, but I don't know if anything has changed. |

| Thanks for the reply. Is your friend on the boards here? |

It's just one guy's opinion, but he's thorough. And here's the last paragraph of the article:
"The best suited teachers to the ELC are; American, Masters qualified, with a modicum of experience. They should be outgoing, and enjoy spending a lot of time with students and the people they work with and come from a conservative Christian moral background. They should also appreciate that the management style is top down and that critical thoughts are best kept to themselves. They also do not ride motor scooters." |
