Does anyone have any experience getting your Universtiy diploma, graduation and transcripts recognized by MEC in Brazil. I've heard that the federal universities will do for free. Do you know specifically where this could be done.
Thanks,

Hi - my understanding is that some Public Universities will do it - not sure if it is for free. You could try contacting the Universidade de Sao Paulo - they advertise that they do it on their English website:
http://www.usp.br/internacional/home.php?idioma=en
I checked out doing this a while back trying to get a University job but was told that my thesis would have to be translated and that basically (in the south anyway) an MA was not enough to join an English Dept. as it was very competitive.

This was suggested to me by the foreign language coordinator at UNIVALI, in Itajai, SC. There were no jobs available but was told that this would be helpful, as well as necessary, if an opening came up in the future.
Thanks,
