seem to have doubled again...getting over 5Mb instead of 2 on a Telmex basic package. |

I have the same package but haven't noticed yet. I'm going to pay more attention the next time I'm online at home. This IS good news, indeed! |

My LAN says it's running at a 100Mbs but I don't believe it. I've been trying to upload a photo for over an hour. |

I have a Telmex basic package too, and I haven't noticed any increase in speed. Guy, how did you find out that it has doubled? |

I download movies all the time and noticed it was coming in at a ridiculously fast rate.
So I did a quick test and found that yes, it is indeed much faster.

Telmex has doubled speeds every 18 months or so...I started with a 500k connection that went to 1Mb, then to 2 Mb about a year and a half ago. Now it's 5.  |

Thanks for the link, Guy. I'll check it out. Since I never download movies, I don't have that to use as a guidepost.
(a minute later) I did the test and my speed is up to speed, around 5 MB. |
