Im working in Kuwait at a school-I sent them my scanned copy of my police fingerprint clearance from the USA and they said it was ok.. now I am here in Kuwait and they said that the Kuwait Embassy stamp is missing-WTF!!??... they couldnt have told me that when i had scanned and sent them the freaking document.. now I Fed Exed the police clearance report back to the states and my brother has it.. I found sites and emailed them and they will charge me effin 500 dollars for the service, another site said 123 dollars.. WTF!!!!....
Finally went on the AMerican Embassy in kuwait site and they said send it to Washington and have a pre addressed en velope...etc etc...
so should I have my brother send it to Washington, then have washington send it to the kuwait embassy and have them mail it back to my brother in New York and then he send it to me... I know there is Kuwait Consulate in NY-will they be of any use concerning this issue?
Please advice!!!
thank you.. Im so frustrated |

Welcome to the Kuwaiti bureaucracy. This is pretty much how everything goes in Kuwait... which is why it was my least favorite country in the Gulf. Just getting my driving license could be a full chapter in my memoirs. What took a couple hours in one day at the DMV in Oman and the UAE took 4 months in Kuwait... approximately 20 trips to 3 different locations. (and my paperwork was proper and correct from my first stop...)
Likely the easiest way is to ask the $123 company what you get for that cash... and probably just go with them. Let them deal with it...

my brother fed exed it to washington it should take 8 days and then I called the Kuwait consulate in NY and they my brother can take it to them and have it stamped after the document is authenticated in Washignton..weeeee... if all works out well it should be cheaper than the 123 and 500 dollar process..lol
God please help me!!!

Hate to say this, but the Department of State is not consistent. Sometimes it takes 8 days and sometimes it takes 15 days and sometimes it takes 25 days if you mail in your documents. This is business days. So by the time you get your document mailed back to you it would be 1-2 months.
Also, you have to know what you're doing 'cause NY Kuwait might fall into a certain jurisdiction. For instance, just using as example, NY Kuwait sometimes only provide services for East Coast states, so make sure Kuwait will accept your doucments before your bro submit them to the NY Kuwait. You know how the consulate can be, they tell you one thing and get you all frustrated.
Just letting you know this, so you don't get frustrated.

Wow, did you post from a long time ago? How are you teaching or doing whatever without it? Here's another thread kind of the same thing as you posted.
