OK, cool.
So, I'm gonna go 'live' in Cancun for two weeks next month. Add another country to my list. Now I can claim to have 'lived' in Mexico.'
I also 'lived' in Egypt for three weeks last year. I'll be sure to add 'living in Egypt' to my CV.
By this standard, I've 'lived' in England on several occasions as well. Scandinavia - does this work for regions, too? Russia. Croatia. Greece. Spain.
On a more useful note, though - this is the newbie forum, where newbs come for advice on how to get reasonable jobs and training, etc.
I'm pretty sure this definition of 'living' was NOT what the OP meant by wanting to 'live' in Europe. I honestly think this line of conversation is simply confusing and off-track to someone needing info on how to get a job in the EU. |

Sounds good to me where you working, studying, doing a short course, volunteering, learning a language? And no, it only counts for countries, not regions. Sorry about that.
I'll have to break the bad news to my friend that since she rarely spent more than 3 months in any country in a row, then she hasn't really lived anywhere for the past five years
LIke I said, different people have different standards. I count the few months in Scotland and Spain, why? I had legal resident visas and resident cards and could get NHS. Was I there for long? No, but I certainly wasn't a tourist either.
Anyways, good luck to the OP and happy new year! |

Jobs are probably plenty in South Korea, Vietnam and South East Asia. I think a lot of people go to South Korea. I heard to teach in Spain, they want Europeans because they speak proper English. My friend got turned down from Spain. I have another friend going to Mexico.

Hello I am 24 yrs old native English speaker from the United States. I have my Masters Degree in Education and have been teaching for about a year. I am looking to see the world and gain some experience and figured teaching abroad would be an excellent idea. I am however debating where I should go. I am looking for adventure, to meet new people, experience new culture, and to have fun. I want to go to a Country that is safe and exciting. I was considering Costa Rica ( I love to surf, hike, ect) or somewhere in Europe. Any tips on Countries people have taught in would be great. |
