To an American with many year of experience in this field (EFL) that article makes it sound like school teachers in the UK take a CELTA course! I never imagined that an primary school teacher would be forced to churn out PPP lessons.

It should be obvious that adaptablity and flexiblity are desireable traits for a teacher of any subject or grade level.

Exactly. It seems that the UK's excellent reputation for education standards comes from the past.

(BTW, I should point out to readers from across the pond that in the UK "Public school" means private school, and what you might have though was a public school is a "state school". Shocked )
