I heard two teachers quit there within the first three weeks. Has it gotten any better? Have they moved the teachers out of the same dorm building as the students? I am just curious. |

Maybe someone can who has worked there can answer some questions...I am getting worried because the school seems to be avoiding the answers. You can PM me the answers if you want.
1. Is this a real international school or not. It doesn't seem to be myp or IB qualified
2. I talked to a former teacher and they said they were forced to sleep in dormitory rooms where they shared 1 washing machine with 4 other teachers on the floor and had a shared fridge and kitchen. they were housed in the same dormitory as the students.
3. What happened to last semesters teachers. I heard they only have 50 students so they obviously couldn't need more than a couple of teachers.
4. Is it actually legal to work for them part time (I am thinking about keeping my old job and just stopping by for classes)
If this has changed I would really like to know because I am deciding whether or not to keep the job. |

= red flag = look elsewhere.
But bear in mind that the school been closed for about 2 weeks, and probably for about another 2 weeks yet for the winter holiday. |

I agree. I am giving them some time. No need to get too paranoid about someone not answering while it is spring festival. I am lucky and have a RP so I don't have to worry about them not having paper work ready...I would hate to be stuck on a L-visa
It is a pity there is no one who has worked there. I was reading their website (the one that is part of the BUHS website) and apparently they are paying rent to the regular BUHS. I guess it is like those colleges where they have a cosponsor. Not that it matters I suppose, as long as my paycheck comes in on time.

I decided not to take the job in the end. Apparently despite having a Yale degree they couldn't figure out how to fly me from Ohio to Beijing. Too many cases of promises being made and then the boss being very very vague in e-mails.
Of course that there sister school (or whatever it is) had 6FT's quit last year and 3 quit since september...
Hopefully they will get their stuff in order because they could be something good and different as a place to teach. |
