Call me crazy on my odd request, but does anyone know where there's a Popeye's in town? My chica swears there used to be several, and on a couple occasions she's brought me to places where "there used to be a Popeye's here!". If the ever-elusive Mexican Popeye's existed it seems to be gone now? |

I only ever saw the one in Zona Rosa and it's been gone for about a year now, replaced by Wendy's. |

What's sad is if it's the Wendy's on Genova (I think) then I've eaten there...oh Popeyes...how I miss you... |

That's the one. You know, I went vegetarian for almost two years back in Canada (thanks to a BC girlfriend) and it was a Wendy's burger that put an end to that. Tried Wendy's once here in DF when it opened awhile ago and blech.
I never tried Popeye's while it was open...when passing by, I always took the lack of customers as a sign. Love friend chicken but that place always looked suspicious. Or wrong...I dunno. |

Ahh! Another Popeye's fan. I miss it as well. There used to be a half dozen franchises in D.F., all gone now, including the one in Genova. I've never found any information online as to whether it's gone for good for all of Mexico, or what? It's quite popular in the U.S., including with many mexican immigrants, and it's way better than KFC. |

There used to be both Popeye's and Church's in Mexico City, all of them are now closed. |
