I am interested in learning more about Qingdao and the cost of living there. I have an offer to teach History there with a western salary, although no benefits, except medical. How much do decent flats cost?
Also, I am interested in doing some supplemental work on the side. Is that possible in China/Qingdao?
Thank you all for your time and insight! It is appreciated! |

Take a look at this site and go to 'Services'.

On a 'Western' salary you shouldn't be slumming it like the rest of us.
Seriously, it is among the most pleasant China cities.

*Decent* flats will cost about 4000 yuan per month, you could probably find something perfectly acceptable for less though.
bear in mind that landlords will ask for either 6 months' or one year's rent up front. |
