|
|
Hi all!
I was wondering if a CELTA is the universal requirement to teach in Turkey or if employers would accept another TEFL equivalent... or even an on-line TEFL course...
I want to teach in Turkey, but I'm not sure which course to pursue...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!!
Regards,
Tom |

The crucial element any sensible employer will look for is the observed teaching practice. Without it the certificate is worth much much less.
CELTA is not essential to get a job, but there are loads of teachers around who regret not having done it at all or sooner.
More qualifications are always of value in the long run. |

Are employers more likely to take you without a CELTA if you express desire to attain a CELTA in the near future? Or is that about as useless as not having it in the first place? |

Check. The stated desire to take a course obviously won't improve your teaching in advance of the course. |
