So what do you have against the teachaway program? You accepted once...
Do not use recruiters for the International schools. Google up the names... check them out here to see if there is anything... and then apply directly. This is a board for ESL/EFL teachers so few of us teach K-12. Thus our International School info is pretty sparse.
I am also not clear what your question was re "temporary or permanent"? When it comes to overseas teaching we are all temporary. Some for a couple years... some for 20 years...

| I was asking about temporary and permanent in terms of contract renewals. Most contracts are for 2 years. Would they ask you to renew again and if so for how long? |

| You might be asked if you want another contract if your preformance is acceptable and the school needs you. Usually, if you're a good employee you are given the option to renew for another contract. |

Generally speaking, if you don't cause problems or really mess up  you will be renewed. But for this program in the public schools, it may depend on the continuation of the project. At university level, I know people who have been at the same location for over 20 years... 2 or 3 year contracts... repeatedly renewed.
