You are right about Maple Leafs schools. They offer a good salary plus benefits. They were started by the Abotsford (sp?) school district. Now it seems that other school districts are helping to set up other offshore schools.
I think that those 10-12 programs are housed in already existing Chinese High Schools. I think working in that type of school would be a bit different from a BC offshore international school such as BIS Canada.
One final thing to say to the OP. You do not need BC classroom experience to apply to do a B.Ed at a BC university. I only had my Korean EFL experience when I applied to uni. |

Op- One more thing... If you want to be a secondary biology teacher you need a certain number of upper level biology courses to have biology as your teachable. Same goes for physics, chemistry, and general science. Here is an example of what you would need to be admitted to UVic.
