Here are some of the things I really dislike about the US:

Violent crime--There are so many reports about elderly being mugged and severely assaulted in NYC for the $5 in their pockets. What kind of sick person breaks the bones of an old person for $5? We're not talking about starving people, but fat, overfed Americans who have way more chance of getting a job than the 90 year old person they are mugging.

Selfishness--An example is the herd of fat Americans that trampled a Walmart employee to death because they couldn't wait 5 minutes to get their flat screen TV with surround sound stereo. Another example is when Americans start giggling when they hear about people starving in the "third world" like it's the funniest thing they've ever heard. I've personally seen this many times.

Nosiness--DHS is really pushing their "See something, say something" program and I hear the messages broadcast many times a day on my commute to work. Someone got reported for talking on a cell phone in the Walmart parking lot and they sent the SWAT team. Can't wait until the TSA "extra special" screening procedures get moved outside the airports and into our everyday lives.

On the positive side, there is some easy money here, at least for the moment until China and our other creditors cut us off. Consumer goods are really cheap for the moment, thanks again to China, which produces most of what we buy in the US.

I'm sure there are lots of difficult things about Poland and if the people are anything like what they are in the US I wouldn't want to live there either.

Come and find out. I'd say Poles tend to be more genuine and hospitable than people in the US, but only after you get to now them personally!

Don't come to Warsaw. People here have that big city, time is money, me first mentality. Good place to make money. Hard place to make Polish friends.

Poland is on my list of possible places if my Czech visa is denied. Smile I'm also looking at Russia, Turkey and Vietnam.

The big city mentality doesn't bother me as I'm quite like that myself. People like money, that's fine. Smile As long as they don't kill other people or call the SWAT team on them to get it.
