it is my understanding that vn has been accepted and is not a part of the WTO a few years back. i don't think WTO is fully aware of what's going on with vn's banking system.  |

Vietnam became a member of WTO in 2007.
I don't recall the details of the WTO rules. I also assume that some countries can (and do) break or bend some of the rules of WTO. |

Why do you need USD if you are leaving Vietnam? One can get all other currencies at the official exchange rate-one generally doesn't need USD.
Regarding your landlord, why would you pay him in USD? Just say no and if he doesn't like it than move, if I was a landlord I would also ask for USD and if my renters agreed i would be laughing all the way to the bank. |

I do not mind paying in dollars, what I do mind is having to run around in a city looking for places that exchange currency into the ever so much desired $$$ when I haven't a clue how to do it.
My employer bends the rules, I bend the rules and my landlord bends the rules, so pretty much everybody bends the rules.
All I ask is a little help in bending them too!!! |
