Yeah there's a gang of information here on EF. None of it is too reliable though, as most of the posters simply recycle hearsay without having had experience.

Additionally, since EF is a franchise, an testimony from one branch could be totally different from another branch. And if you pass the interview, it's a crapshoot as to which branch they set you up in.

Keep in mind that you will be on-site for 8-9 hours a day, and probably working Saturdays, but honestly the pay and package look decent as a gateway to China compared to the other things I've seen. |

				| This topic has already been beaten to death on this forum. Just scroll down a few threads and you will find a recent one. I don't know what else can be added to the debate. |

				| I have taught in China for three years and I have never heard anything good about EF. This says something. No matter what they tell you, you will be teaching children and not very many adults. I have couple friends who teach there now and simply hate it. Too many hours and days for the pay! I dont think it matter the city you are in. |

I currently work for EF (corporate not franchise) and I work 3 days a week! The busiest times are Friday nights and the weekends, after that it's pretty slow for the rest of the week. I come and go as I please when I'm not teaching, as long as my lessons are planned and the paperwork is done they don't give me any problems.

I don't teach in the adult centers so I can't say anything about that but I'm enjoying things here so far.

I can't comment about the franchises as they are run by their owners and vary from one center to another. |

I would pick up p/t work at ef from time to time. It is what it is. You just know that you are working for a language mill but the prep work was pretty simple. They always paid on time with no hassles so I am ok with them. Don't know too much about the FT there but from what I saw you can work as much or as little as you want. They pretty much lay it all on the table when they hire you. Not a lot of surprises. Is there better out there of course....is there way worse....of course. Might be a good way for some to get their feet wet without a huge commitment.

Obviously this could vary from franchise to franchise. |
