What does 'subjectivist' mean? Who are the singing chickens? Why are YOU complaining about the poor quality of postings?
wiki says:
Subjectivism is a philosophical tenet that accords primacy to subjective experience as fundamental of all measure and law. In an extreme form, it may hold that the nature and existence of every object depends solely on someone's subjective awareness of it. For example, Wittgenstein wrote in Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus: "The subject doesn't belong to the world, but it is a limit of the world" (proposition 5.632). One may also consider the qualified empiricism of George Berkeley in this context, given his reliance on God as the prime mover of human perception.
or do you mean subjective mr english teacher? |

It now appears that LS, in particular the Director MT, are scraping the barrel of indignity. A colleague of mine relates the following tale, one that truly beggars belief and almost had me gagging in contempt.
Just imagine this: your wife, who is living in a foreign country, suddenly dies, so you request a few days of compassionate leave to do the funeral arrangements. On top of that, you need to consider just how you will cope looking after your four now motherless children.
Upon your return to work, after a mere three days of leave, you are dismissed - without reason. Even worse, you are told to leave the country as soon as possible, despite having done nothing wrong, but merely to please the whim of a manager.
Sounds impossible? Well, step forward - Language Solutions UK! I'm sure that the company's director, MT, will be feeling extremely proud of himself today, having achieved the remarkable feat of both breaking employment laws AND dealing somebody a kick in the balls at the same time. |

I used to work for Lang Sols. I had some serious frustrations with them but generally I had a really good deal.
Would I work for them again...............mmmmmmmmmmmmm Yes for a good pay day and with my same old manager
But I have friends who would cut off their fingers before signing with them again. |

I've worked for Langsols twice in Saudi Arabia and have no complaints about them. The manager they initially had out there was a total oxygen thief and trolls these boards. I can't remember his ID off the top of my head by if anyone posts anything wildly over the top in criticism of them then that's probably your muppet.
I got on well with Mark Trier in the short time that I knew him and have a very good relationship with both Barry Shorten and Crispin Tucker, who treated me and the other teachers very well.
It really does depend on who your local manager is, but the company as a whole is one I'd certainly work for again =. |
