Hey there. I just wanted to know if it'd be possible to arrange a job in Saudi without a CELTA or other teaching certificate.
Experience: 3 yrs in Korea and 2 years in Brazil.
Planning on doing the CELTA in July, but I'd like to arrange a job before then so I could start by September.
Any input?
Thanks. |

Do the CELTA and then apply... otherwise you will only be eligible for the bottom feeders. You definitely want to avoid them.

Dear veiledsentiments,
Especially when you're the bottom.

Experience alone will not count for much. The CELTA on its own is pretty useless as well. Do you have a degree? |

Yeah, I do. I have a 4-year degree in Modern Languages. I did the CELTA 4 years ago, but quit the course in the 3rd week. Gosh, what a waste of money now that I look back on it.
Anyhow, gonna do it again in July.
