Hi, I've been offered a contract in norteastern Poland.... I have a NIP number, but my employer said if i want to work contractually i need to give them a D07 form. I was under the impression that working here as an EU citizen didn't require any working permits or other paperwork, so I'm a little confused. Does anyone know any more about the exact requirements for contractual work and where i would have to go to make it official...or even any more information about D07? any help appreciated.

Hi.If you are an EU citizen you don't need any work permit to work in Poland.Schools generally offer you a contract for one year and deduct the basic rate of tax [18% I think] At the end of the year they give you a P.I.T. tax declaration and you must file a tax return before the end of April |

thanks. The school were telling me that i needed to fill in a particular form, with the number which i quoted in the thread title, however, I think that now she may have realised that the NIP number may be enough. This is possibly due to their lack of past native speaker employees...so it appears that even the schools do not always know what the situation is for native speakers, which I suppose is not so surprising in the smaller towns where there is less of an influx. Cheers. |
